(1) Lance Baker Fent’s next project “Philosophy” is under way at GMM Studios (GMS). This project is progressing under the watchful eye of Jimmi Mayweather engineer and producer, with additional engineering by Kent Hitchcock. Part of the process is deciding which, of over 300 new songs to use.
Of invaluable help is the assistance and expertise of bassist Maryvonne Fent and drummer Pat Martin.
(2) Maryvonne, also an ethnomusicologist with a specialty in South Indian Music, is working on a documentary aimed at reconciliating the timeless nature of Indian music with the cultural changes experienced since India’s Independence in 1947. With Maya Grafmuller's help, she has been sorting, scanning, downloading to ProTools and editing a wealth of photography and recordings collected during the five years she spent in India, Nepal, Sikkim, Kashmir and during vivid encounters with Tibetan refugees in those parts.
(3) As soon as LBF’s current album is completed, we will begin work on the next one, as the songs just keep coming.
(4) Of course, the ongoing and forever project is the refinement and perfecting of GMS (GMM Studios).
